Visalia PD find several guns and drugs around kids in Ivanhoe

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – According to the Visalia Police Department, a drug investigation has led to two arrests, the retrieval of several pounds of methamphetamine, and multiple guns being taken from one home.

On May 2, officials say Visalia PD’s Narcotics and Special Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at a residence on Waverly Court in Ivanhoe.

When officers arrived at the home, officials say they arrested 29-year-old Jesus Villafan, whom they had been investigating for some time.

Villafan was arrested in the front yard while 19-year-old Ruben Anguiano-Guardian jumped out the back window and threw multiple illegal items out as well.

Among the illegal items were several pounds of meth as well as a loaded “ghost gun,” and a stolen, loaded semiautomatic rifle with multiple illegal modifications officials say.

The semiautomatic rifle was thrown over a fence where small children were present, according to officials.

Officers arrested both men on charges related to drugs, weapons, and child endangerment, according to Visalia PD.
