Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace opens special enrollment for ineligible Medicaid members

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — If you have lost Medicaid coverage for eligibility or administrative reasons, Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace is accepting applications for health insurance during a Special Enrollment Period.

Anyone whose Medicaid was terminated on March 31, 2023, and even through July 31, 2024, can qualify for a special enrollment period to apply for coverage. Virginians who apply for health insurance during the special enrolment time may apply for coverage at any point between these two dates.
