Virgin Hotels makes ‘final offer’ to Culinary Union

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Virgin Hotels presented its best and last offer in contract negotiations to the Culinary and Bartenders Union Local 226 Wednesday.

700 hotel union workers launch 48-hour strike at Virgin Hotels casino near Las Vegas Strip

A few weeks earlier, more than 700 workers walked off the job for 48 hours at the Las Vegas property in hopes of getting a new 5-year agreement. The union is seeking wage increases and more on-the-job protections. At the same time, Virgin filed an unfair labor practices complaint with the National Labor Relations Board.

The union is holding a news conference Thursday.
