Vigil held one year after rugby player murdered
Family and friends gathered to hold a vigil in memory of a popular rugby player a year after he was stabbed to death outside a nightclub in Bodmin.
They stood on the spot where Michael Riddiough-Allen died at 03:00 BST outside Eclipse Nightclub in Bodmin on 30 April 2023.
Some of those who attended had also been there on the night.
Mr Riddiough-Allen was killed when he tried to stop Jake Hill who had already stabbed four other people.
Hill, 25, who was convicted of murdering one man and injuring four others, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 28 years.
Hill used a hunting knife which he had hidden in a nearby hedge while inside the club.
Co-accused Tia Taylor, 22, from Bodmin, was jailed for three years for manslaughter and perverting the course of justice.
Chelsea Powell, 22, also from Bodmin, was sentenced to 15 months for perverting the course of justice by lying to police after the attack.
