Tornado Causes Damage to Laplace, Louisiana

A tornado touched down in Laplace, Louisiana, on Tuesday, February 23, damaging homes, toppling trees and power lines, and overturning vehicles. St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom declared a state of emergency for the parish in Laplace as more than 10,000 people were out of power. A tornado watch was issued on Tuesday for southeast Louisiana.
