FREDERICKSBURG, Ohio (WJW) – The Holmes County Humane Society wants to know who has been dumping dogs outside its building.

The nonprofit posted surveillance video to its Facebook page.

In the video, you can see a man walking a dog up to the building.

The dog was tied to the railing for 10 hours without shelter or water, according to the shelter.

Workers believe the same person left two dogs at the facility a few weeks ago.

“2 Huskies were left in a small cage in the snow, and they were not found for 12+ hours,” the agency wrote in a social media post.

“Please call us or the dog warden if you need to surrender a dog. It is against the law to abandon animals. These dogs could not move or find cover from the elements, and they were not given water.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Holmes County Humane Society at 330-377-4026 or the Holmes County Dog Warden at 330-674-6301.
