Video: Passenger bus drives over bridge, into river in Russia

SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia (WJW) – At least five people have died after a passenger bus crashed into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday.

According to police, about 20 people were on board the bus when the crash happened.

A security camera captured the moment the crash happened. It showed that the bus turned onto the bridge, crashed into a car and continued to drive off the side of the bridge and into the river.

According to police, the circumstances that led to this crash are still being investigated.

According to local media, at least five people died as a result of the crash and four others are “seriously injured.”

Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said emergency services from various departments were at the scene.
