THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A masked passenger opened fire at a livery driver in the Bronx due to an argument over payment, according to the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers.

The organization is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. The passenger jumped out of 26-year-old Eufelix Jiminian’s car before firing five shots, according to the NYSFTD.

“Drivers must stop picking up masked riders, if you can’t see their face do not pick them up,” said Fernando Mateo, the spokesman for the NYSFTD.

Taxi and livery drivers are holding a press conference in front of the NYSFTD headquarters at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday to call for bail reform and police searches of cabs.
