Victim identified in deadly SE Oklahoma City shooting

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Police are releasing new details in a deadly shooting in southeast Oklahoma City from March 15.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a home near SE 27th St. and S. High Ave. around 12:20 a.m. on Friday, March 15, regarding a disturbance.

“During that disturbance, it appears a victim was shot,” said Sgt. Brad Gilmore with OKCPD. “That victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.”

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Charles Johnson III.

Police say the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office will determine what charges, if any, will be filed.
