'Very Bold' Suspect Seen Spraying Gasoline on Woman's House Before Setting It Alight

A woman in Shoreline, Washington, was shocked to see an unknown man spraying gasoline on her house and car before throwing a match to start a fire early on Friday, May 10.

Footage of the incident has been released by the Shoreline Police Department, who are seeking information on the suspect.

Homeowner April Brown told local media that her surveillance camera captured the incident.

“I watched my video and some guy came onto my property, sprayed my house with an accelerant and threw a match,” Brown told KOMO News.

“The smoke was pouring in from my living room and I went in and my door was on fire inside and out. It was almost to the ceiling,” she added.

Brown said she was “scared to death”, describing the suspect as “very bold”. He “looked right into the camera,” she said. Credit: Shoreline Police Department via Storyful
