Vehicle crash kills man mowing grass in Nacogdoches

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK) – A man mowing grass in Nacogdoches was killed on Monday around 5:16 p.m. after being hit by a vehicle.

According to a release, the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a major accident on the 100 block of N.E. Stalling Drive involving a vehicle that had left the roadway and hit a man who was mowing.

Police said the man, whose identity has not been released, was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital and is cooperating with investigators.

The road was closed after the crash and reopened on Monday. Officials said they anticipate closing down traffic on Tuesday to complete their investigation.
