Vehicle accident in Hampton causes thousands of outages

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A vehicle accident in Hampton has caused thousands of power outages, according to Dominion Energy.

Nearly 4,000 customers experienced power outages in the city with a majority of those caused by an accident in the area. Dominion Energy had crews working in the area. Power in the area has since been restored.

No information regarding the severity of the accident has been released yet. Check back for updates.
