Vanderbilt baseball is in an unfamiliar situation: the bubble.
The Commodores (34-18, 12-15 SEC) still control their own destiny, but they will need at least one win in Lexington over SEC-leading, third-ranked Kentucky to feel good about their chances in the NCAA tournament. Vanderbilt is 2-10 on the road in conference play this season.

The Commodores lost seven consecutive SEC games before getting a win in the series finale against Tennessee, the longest conference losing streak they have had under Tim Corbin. The record was six in 2022.
The last time they missed the NCAA tournament was 2005. Vanderbilt's 17 consecutive tournament appearances is the longest active streak in the country and tied for the longest in the history of the SEC.
