USPS to host three job fairs in Roanoke in April

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The United States Postal Service (USPS) is looking to fill immediate openings for full-time and part-time positions. To help with the process, recruiters are coming to the Star City.

For three days, USPS personnel will be available in Roanoke to give more information about positions and answer questions on the following dates:

  • April 3 at Virginia Career Works from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • April 4 at Roanoke High School from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • April 10 at Virginia Career Works from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

USPS says the Postal Service is working to build a more stable workforce as part of its initiative and 10-year plan, “Delivering for America.”

“Our employees are our greatest asset and we are investing in our new employees by providing robust training and on-the-job support. The Postal Service offers competitive wages and benefits in addition to career advancement opportunities,” said USPS in a release.

All applicants must be 18 or older, pass a drug screening, and a criminal background investigation. USPS says it is looking for people who can work weekends and holidays. All applications can be submitted online. are encouraged to submit their applications online.
