Apr. 25—URBANA — The Urbana Police Department is seeking information about a shooting.

Around noon Thursday, police responded to multiple reports of shots fired near the 1200 to 1300 block of Brookstone Court. Officers found at least four shell casings near the entrance to Hamilton on the Park Apartments, 1201 Brookstone Court, and gunfire struck a window at the apartment complex's office, the department said. No victims have come forward as of Thursday afternoon.

"Presently, there is no clear indication of a motive or intended target in this incident," UPD officials said. "Despite the proximity to Booker T. Washington School, there is currently no evidence to suggest the involvement of the school or any students in the shooting."

Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $5,000 for tips leading to an arrest in any homicide case, $2,500 for tips leading to an arrest in a felony crime involving a firearm, and up to $1,000 for tips resulting in the arrest of the person(s) responsible for any other crime.
