Known for Mardi Gras Indians, Uptown Super Sunday is a big event every year. With severe weather, Executive Director of the Mardi Gras Indian Council Bertrand Butler says postponing the event was a must.
“It would be a waste of our time, our energy, and the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians, and the second line club. They would be soaked. We got to look out for each other because like I stated when we open up this is for the community,” said Butler.
But the wait to see the P-town Steppers, the Lady P-town Steppers, and more will only be one week. Butler says it’s been rescheduled for next Sunday, March 24, an event he says you don’t want to miss.
“We provide something for all titles of all ages. We bring out the foods, the arts and crafts. The DJs, the R&B, the vendors, and many more activities we bring to the park,” said Butler.
