Unseasonably warm temperatures this week
All of the state will be warmer today, and temperatures will warm up around 20 degrees compared to Sunday’s temperatures in eastern New Mexico. Light winds of around 15 to 35 mph are expected, with mostly sunny skies until this afternoon. Clouds will build in western NM this afternoon, and a few showers will be possible in the western high terrain. Virga will be possible in the lower elevations of the Four Corners, including Farmington.

The moisture will shift to northeast NM on Tuesday, with virga and sprinkles there during the afternoon. The rest of the state will stay mostly sunny and dry, with even warmer temperatures. The weather is looking quiet through Wednesday. The next storm will bring strong winds on Thursday and Saturday, with rain chances on Saturday.
A flood warning is in effect until further notice for the Rio Chama, below Chamita, northwest of Espanola. River levels are expected to hit flood stage Tuesday to Wednesday. Remember, turn around, don’t drown!
