UNLV students to hold rally in support of Palestine

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — On Wednesday morning, UNLV pro-Palestinian group Students for Justice in Palestine will host a May Day Walk Out and Rally in support of Palestine.

This comes after other smaller-scale protests in Nevada. On Friday, about 100 UNR students called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, across the country, pro-Palestinian protestors are calling for colleges to pull funding from Israeli military operations. However, many Jewish students on campuses say the protests have veered toward antisemitism.

The University has a policy on its website supporting safe, free speech.

The Walk Out For Palestine protest is planned for 11 a.m. at UNLV’s amphitheater.
