UCO settles Title IX lawsuit over equal resources for both genders

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – The University of Central Oklahoma has settled a lawsuit filed by a group of female student athletes.

The lawsuit addressed violations of Title IX which was passed in 1972 to end discrimination in education.

Athletes sue UCO for alleged Title IX violation

Among the allegations in the 2022 lawsuit, the female students say the university did not equally provide equipment and supplies to female and male athletes.

Bloomberg Law is reporting the settlement reached gives the females and males equal resources.
