U.S. 183 southbound toll lanes closed following fatal vehicle-bicycle collision
A fatal collision that killed one person on the U.S. 183 toll road has shut down all southbound lanes in East Austin during Friday's commute.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the wreck in the 7300 block of the U.S. 183 toll road, which is near U.S. 290, at 4 p.m. EMS said on social media the person died at the scene as a result of a vehicle-bicycle collision.
Austin police said in a social media post to avoid the area and to find an alternate route as other roads are being shut down.
