Two women, infant shot in Salisbury Wednesday night: Police

SALISBURY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Two women and an infant were injured in a late-night shooting Wednesday in Salisbury, authorities said.

Salisbury Police officers arrived along South Main Street around 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they got to the scene, they found two women and one infant hit by gunfire.

First responders took one woman and the infant to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem with life-threatening injuries. They are listed in critical condition. The second woman was taken to Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord with non-life-threatening injuries. She’s in stable condition.

‘It shouldn’t be like this:’ Seven shot within two-mile radius off South Blvd.

Police said they have not arrested anyone in connection to this incident. The agency also did not connect the triple shooting to one reported earlier in the day, where a juvenile was shot along Old Concord Road and South Shaver Street.

The NC State Bureau of Investigations, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol are also assisting in this case.
