Two road closures planned in Kingsport for Monday morning

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – There will be two road closures in Kingsport on Monday morning, the City of Kingsport announced in social media posts.

The entrance to City Hall off Broad Street will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for concrete repairs, and some parking spaces will also be blocked off in the area.

East Charlemont Avenue will be closed between East Sullivan Street and Watauga Street at the Boone Street intersection from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for water system maintenance.

Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling near these areas, the posts said.

Weka raises $140M as the AI boom bolsters data platforms
In a 2022 survey by Great Expectations, an open source data benchmarking platform, 77% of organizations said they were concerned about their data quality. On Wednesday, Weka, a platform for building data pipelines that handle a range of data sources, types, and sizes, announced that it raised $140 million in a two-part ($100 million and $40 million) Series E round led by Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Nvidia, Norwest Venture Partners, Micron Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Hitachi Ventures and others. The oversubscribed round values Weka at $1.6 billion post-money, double the company's previous valuation.
