Two vacant homes in the village have been demolished after they were acquired by Olney Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, located at the corner of Elm and Main.

Olney Foust Vice President Dylan P. Foust said the properties will likely be utilized to expand parking for the funeral home. The two properties sit on either side of an existing parking lot.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to Wellsville and Allegany County to improve and expand our services, we purchased two adjoining substandard properties on Elm Street for parking and other possible business ventures,” said Foust.
