Two girls, ages 12 and 9, accused of stealing items from Napoleonville school
ASSUMPTION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office led to the identification of two suspects in connection to a burglary that occurred at the Napoleonville Primary School.
Deputies responded to a burglary complaint and damaged property at the Napoleonville Primary School on Wednesday, May 15.
They identified the two suspects as a 12-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl.
“It was determined that the two individuals made entry into the school and stole items from within,” APSO said in a news release.
Detectives filed a verified complaint against the 12-year-old. According to APSO, she was released to a parent/guardian.

APSO stated in a Facebook post that the 9-year-old “cannot be charged with a crime because she has not reached the age of culpability or criminal responsibility.”
No other details have been released at this time.
