UPDATE: Murder-suicide suspected after two people found dead inside senior facility home

SANTEE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two elderly adults were found dead inside their home at a senior living facility in Santee, Sunday morning, and the San Diego County Sherriff’s Department is investigating it as a possible homicide.

Deputies responded to reports of two dead adults inside their home at a senior living facility in the 300 block of Lantern Way in Santee at 11:25 a.m.

Both victims, a man and a woman, were dead when police arrived, and both appeared to have head trauma, according to the sheriff’s department.

Authorities are withholding the identities of the victims until they can notify their families.

Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are working to gather more information on the circumstances of their deaths, and said there are no outstanding suspects or danger to the community.
