Two arrested in connection with attack of bicyclist at Angie RV park

ANGIE, La. (WGNO) — A man and a woman are facing attempted murder charges after they allegedly attacked a bicyclist at an Angie RV park on Monday, April 29.
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that a person was riding a bike near Louisiana 438 at Great Southern RV Park when the bicyclist was hit by a car and then “brutally assaulted.”

WPSO deputies said the victim suffered significant injuries and “severe trauma to the face.” They were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Through an investigation and a tip, WPSO detectives identified 33-year-old Yakeem Pigott and 22-year-old Destiny St. Amant as suspects.
WPSO officials said Pigott and St. Amant were arrested at a gas station in Angie. They each face a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
