Two administrative appointments to Champaign schools approved

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign School Board voted to approve two administrative appointments at their meeting Monday night.

Current Westview Elementary School Vice Principal Dan Nock was appointed to become Carrie Busey Elementary School principal. He said his experience at Westview for the past three years has shaped how he will serve as a principal, and thanked the Westview community.

“Now as I transition to Carrie Busey Elementary School, I am filled with excitement and optimism for the future,” Nock said at the meeting. “I am carrying with me the knowledge and skills nurtured throughout my extensive educational experiences and am eager to contribute to the great things happening at Carrie Busey.”

Before Westview, Nock also worked in schools in Danville and Mahomet. His appointment is effective July 1.
