Ann Curry is still processing the news of Matt Lauer’s firing, but Twitter is reacting on her behalf.

Curry, a longtime journalist at NBC, exited The Today Show in June 2012. She announced her departure from her TV home live on air, fighting back tears, while sitting next her co-host Lauer, who reportedly ousted her.

And in the wake of Lauer’s own exit from the show, it’s clear that social media #NeverForgets.

“Somewhere Ann Curry” has been trending on Twitter ever since it was revealed Lauer was fired amid sexual misconduct allegations. Here are some of the best reactions:

Curry spoke with People for a previously scheduled interview on Wednesday after the news broke, telling the magazine, “I’m still really processing it.”

However, she shared what the latest bombshell signifies to her.

“The women’s movement got us into the workplace, but it didn’t make us safe once we got there,” Curry explained to People. “And the battle lines are now clear. We need to move this revolution forward and make our workplaces safe. Corporate America is quite clearly failing to do so, and unless it does something to change that, we need to keep doing more ourselves.”
