Try Bellingham’s four new restaurants that opened in March, as one eatery closed

Four new restaurants opened in March, bringing pizza, filipino, nacho and coffee eateries to Whatcom County. Here are the newest food spots you’ll want to try:

Bella Ciao

Bella Ciao, a tavern-style pizza restaurant started by the owner of Admiralty Lounge, opened March 12 at 1427 Railroad Ave. and is open from 5 p.m. to midnight daily, but for 21 and older only from 9 p.m. until close.

Nacho Problem

Nacho Problem, a bar that serves drinks and nachos that was also started by the owner of Admiralty Lounge, opened March 15, and is only for ages 21 and older. The unique bar is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Tuesday and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 1425 Railroad Ave.

Bry’s Filipino Cuisine

Bry’s Filipino Cuisine opened its brick-and-mortar restaurant after months of preparation and transitioning from its food truck business in early March, after a soft opening Feb. 29.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1151 N. State St. in Bellingham.

Lakeline

Lakeline, a new restaurant serving sandwiches, breakfast, coffee, cocktails, baked goods and other items has opened in Bellingham. The new restaurant opened at the beginning of March.

The restaurant updates its hours each week on its Facebook page, and is at 601 Northshore Drive. in Bellingham.

SconeGrown

SconeGrown, a vegan bakery and meal prep restaurant in Bellingham, permanently closed March 31.

The bakery in the Granary building opened three years ago and operated out of the Granary building before operating out of a commercial kitchen space in Bellingham.
