Trump dominates county polls in presidential primary

Mar. 21—8.75% of Dickinson County residents voted in the presidential primary election March 19. For unofficial results, former President Donald Trump garnered most of the votes during the poll with 822, which was about 70% of the total votes cast. President Joe Biden garnered the most votes for the Democrat party with 137. 1,168 ballots were cast in total.

According to the Dickinson County Clerk's Office, 174 people submitted early ballots, 68 were advanced ballots, and 22 provisional ballots will be counted.

The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 6, and the general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The unofficial results of the presidential primary election can be viewed online at www.dkcoks.gov/1259/Unofficial-Election-Results-32-OF-32-PRE. The canvass for the primary will be at 9:30 a.m. March 22 in the Dickinson County Commission's meeting room.
