Trump called the White House 'a dump' and the internet wasn't having it
When you call the People's House a dump, expect some backlash.

In Alan Shipnuck's lengthy Golf.com article Tuesday about Donald Trump's relationship to the game, the reporter included this gem about the president's repeat trips to Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ:
"A real dump" is supposedly how the president views the White House, and even though the White House denies Trump said this, it set everyone off.

Shudder thinking about how crazy right-wing America's reaction would've been to Barack Obama calling the White House a "real dump."

It takes a lot of balls to say the White House is a dump when your own pad looks like it was decorated by Flavor Flav's dentist. pic.twitter.com/POuFRhQyXJ

"The White House is a dump" is an insult to all of us who worked there, to curators who preserved it and its thousands of volunteers.

As many were quick to point out, if Obama had been heard quipping disparaging thoughts about the White House, the uproar would be overwhelming.
Conservatives if Barack and Michelle Obama had commented that "White House is a real dump." pic.twitter.com/Y5KWhodeJx

"The White House is a dump" would've been a week-long scandal/PR crisis in the Obama admin, crowing out all talk of everything else.

Many took the comment as an invitation to boot Trump from the White House.
Since Classy Guy Trump thinks the White House is a total dump, presumably he won't mind being evicted from it soon.

If @realDonaldTrump truly thinks the White House is a "dump," many of us would chip in to pay for the Uhaul to take him back to Trump Tower.

The White House is America's pride and joy. It's one of the most celebrated and recognizable buildings in the world. To live in the historic mansion is a privilege and an honor. Even if Trump said this jokingly, Americans obviously aren’t laughing.
UPDATE Aug. 2 6:42 p.m. PT: Trump tweeted a response more than a day after the Golf.com piece came out. He called the quote about calling the White House "a dump" fake news and "TOTALLY UNTRUE."
I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump - TOTALLY UNTRUE
