Following news that the westbound span of the Washington Bridge will need to be demolished and replaced, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be visiting Rhode Island early next week.

On Tuesday, March 19, Buttigieg will be visiting infrastructure and transportation projects, as well as hearing about how "the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is increasing job opportunities for workers and apprentices across the state" according to a media advisory.

Buttigieg will also be visiting Philadelphia next week.
