Transit bus and SUV crash in Escambia County: Florida Highway Patrol

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a bus and SUV crashed on U.S. Highway 29, according to an FHP report.

According to a crash report, FHP troopers responded to U.S. Highway 29 / Tate School Road on Thursday at 7:23 a.m. after receiving reports of a crash.

Investigations indicate that a gray Honda SUV was traveling north on U.S. Highway 29, turning left onto Tate School Road, when a white Ford Transit bus traveling south collided with the SUV.

Officials say the crash caused the Ford Transit bus to become disabled and block the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 29.

Both drivers and all the passengers on the transit bus received minor injuries from the crash, according to reports.
