Train vs. pedestrian leaves one critically injured in south Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – One woman was critically injured after being struck by a train in south Wichita Monday night.

It happened around 8:50 p.m. near South Mead and East Blake Street.

Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in northwest Wichita

Sedgwick County Dispatch confirmed that the woman received critical injuries.

Police on the scene tell KSN that an elderly woman was sitting on the tracks and efforts to get her to move were unsuccessful. She was taken to the hospital but is expected to live.

"We believe that AI voices should not deliberately mimic a celebrity's distinctive voice—Sky’s voice is not an imitation of Scarlett Johansson but belongs to a different professional actress using her own natural speaking voice," the company wrote in a blog post.

The top vehicle safety regulator in the U.S. has launched a formal probe into an April crash involving the all-electric VinFast VF8 SUV that claimed the lives of a family of four, TechCrunch has learned.
