WITNESS FOOTAGE: Train derails near Trent

TRENT, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A train has reportedly derailed between Merkel and Trent.

Texas Storm Chasers reported a partial derailment around sunset Tuesday, and some details have since emerged.

BCH meteorologists recorded winds between Merkel and Trent Tuesday night to have gusted up to 70 miles per hour.

Check out this footage submitted by a witness:

This witness told KTAB/KRBC the damage was just East of Trent when he happened upon it.

No further information has been released.
