Trail in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve to temporarily close for bridge repairs

GLEN JEAN, WV (WVNS) — A trail in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve will be temporarily closed to repair an old bridge.

According to a post on the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve Facebook page, the Fayetteville Trail connection between the Park Loop and Bridge trail will be closed from Monday, April 15, 2024 until about Thursday, April 25, 2024.

The trail will be closed so that an old bridge on the trail can be restored, as well as new pilings.
