New traffic pattern expected to start on Laskin Rd.

VIRIGNIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A new traffic pattern on Laskin Road is expected in both directions this week, weather permitting.

Starting as early as 7 a.m. Friday, March 29, both eastbound travel lanes on Laskin Road, between Fremac Drive and Red Robin Road, will be shifted left onto two lanes of the westbound bridge over Linkhorn Bay.

The westbound lanes will shift right on the westbound bridge to accommodate two lanes of travel in both directions on the same bridge. These traffic shifts will allow for the demolition and reconstruction of the existing eastbound bridge over Linkhorn Bay, estimated to be complete early 2025.
