Traffic lights to flash red at this Madera Co. intersection

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 41 with Avenue 15 and Highway 145 in Madera County will be flashing red, Caltrans and Cal Valley Construction officials announced on Friday.

According to Caltrans, the following will occur:

  • Starting Sunday night, April 28, until Friday morning, May 3, between the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the traffic signals at Avenue 15 and Highway 145 along Highway 41 will be flashing red.

  • Drivers may experience short delays during these times.

  • The traffic signals will not be flashing red during the daylight hours.

  • Caltrans officials say this is necessary, as the construction project on Highway 41 from Avenue 15 to Highway 145 continues to progress.

The time frame of the flashing lights might be extended, according to Caltrans, if necessary due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.

Caltrans reminds drivers to drive with extra care and allow additional time while traveling near construction zones, as well as to stay alert for construction personnel.
