Traffic Advisory: Expect Narrow Lanes, Entrance Closure on South Stewart Road at Corbin

May 11—MANCHESTER — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that traffic restrictions will be in place on part of South Stewart Road at Corbin beginning Monday, May 13.

South Stewart Road at Walmart will be reduced to two 11-foot travel lanes and the farthest entrance from U.S. 25E going into Walmart will be closed. The traffic restrictions will remain in place through the month of May.

The traffic changes are needed for roadway widening taking place on South Stewart Road as part of a U.S. 25E highway improvement project.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, reduced speed, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
