Both I-77 northbound lanes reopen after being closed due to a tractor trailer fire

No injuries were reported due to the fire.

UPDATE: Tuesday, April 23, 2024 @ 7:15 pm | SHADY SPRING, WV (WVNS) — As of around 7:15 P.M. dispatchers with West Virginia Parkways Authority confirm that the left lane of traffic is reopen.

Dispatchers confirm are no injuries reported and that there is not a chemical risk associated with the accident.

SHADY SPRING, WV (WVNS) — A tractor trailer fire on I-77 near mile marker 35 has closed both northbound lanes.

According to WV 511, both northbound lanes remain closed since just after 6 PM due to a tractor trailer fire. All drivers are asked to remain cautious when driving through the area.

All drivers are also advised to avoid the area if possible.
