Tracking: Showers and scattered storms move into the Carolinas this weekend

CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — As we close in on the weekend, we are tracking more showers and storms on the way for the Carolinas starting Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday.

Behind the wet weather, we should see a noticeable drop in the humidity early next week along with warm temperatures in the 80s.

As for tonight and your Friday, outside of an isolated shower we are expecting quiet conditions this evening along with lows in the low 60s. Friday we are tracking increasing clouds in the morning with showers and storms expected on the way during the afternoon and continuing through the evening. High temperatures on Friday will be in the upper 70s.

The weekend will be dominated by on-and-off showers and storm activity for the Carolinas. Saturday could be mostly dry in the morning before showers start to flare up during the afternoon hours and continue into the evening.

Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 70s with wet weather also expected for the Charlotte FC match Saturday evening.

Sunday more showers are likely on the way as the storm system slowly moves through the region. Highs are likely to be cooler with temperatures in the low 70s.

Early next week our skies should clear, and our temperatures rebound back up into the low 80s. But while our temperatures will be moving up, the humidity will be falling making for a pleasant start to the week.
