Track flight cancellations from Southwest, other airlines at Texas' biggest airports
More than 5,000 U.S. flights were canceled and more than 8,200 more were delayed Friday as of 4:45 p.m. as an Arctic cold front moves southeast across the country, threatening air travel during the season's busiest days, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware.
Southwest Airlines had canceled almost 950 flights across the country as of Friday evening.
In Austin, 72 flights in and out of the city's international airport have been canceled as of Friday morning.

AUS: Austin Airport
Austin-Bergstrom had 250 delays and 72 cancellations Friday morning.
Southwest Airlines accounted for 120 of those delays and 36 of those cancellations.

DAL: Dallas Love Field Airport
Dallas Love Field had 258 delays and 58 cancellations Friday morning.
Southwest Airlines accounted for 251 of those delays and 56 of those cancellations.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport had 716 delays, and 176 cancellations Friday morning.
