Town of Woodhull to receive almost $5 million to replace natural gas pipelines

WOODHULL, N.Y. (WETM) – The Town of Woodhull will see improvements to its natural gas pipelines after receiving nearly $5 million in federal funding, as announced in a release from Congressman Nick Langworthy’s Office this afternoon.

According to the release, the town will receive a total of $4,951,197 in funding for natural gas infrastructure and safety improvements.

Bath awarded more than $9.3 million for natural gas infrastructure improvements

The funding is a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure and Safety Modernization Grant Program and will go towards projects to replace 6.19 miles of pipeline in Woodhull.
