Touch-A-Truck event to mark Georgia Cities Week

Apr. 25—VALDOSTA — As part of Georgia Cities Week, the Valdosta Public Works Department invites the public to a Touch-a-Truck event 10 a.m. to noon Friday at 1017 Myrtle St.

This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity for children and adults alike to explore a variety of trucks and vehicles used by the Public Works Department, according to a press release from the city. From garbage trucks to street sweepers, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

"In addition to getting an up-close look at the impressive machinery, attendees will have the chance to meet the hardworking men and women who operate these vehicles and learn more about the vital services they provide to our community," the press release said.
