Topeka company makes ‘2024 Top Workplaces USA’ list
TOPEKA (KSNT) – An employer based out of Topeka and Overland Park is being named as one of the best places to work in 2024.
Mize CPAs Inc. said in a press release that is earned the 2024 Top Workplaces USA award from USA Today this week. The company is the only business based out of Kansas to make the list.

Mize CPAs Inc. Marketing Specialist Bri Holmes Daniels says the company received the honor due to feedback gathered through anonymous surveys. Mize CPA Inc. employs nearly 300 people at its offices in Kansas. Highlights from the survey’s results can be found below:
85% of employees said they feel respected and supported
83% of employees said they feel enabled to grow
90% of employees feel they have work-life flexibility
This is the first time the company has made the list. Mize CPAs Inc. provides accounting services to McDonald’s owners in the U.S. and is one of the larger accounting and consulting firms in the Midwest, according to Top Workplaces USA’s website.
“Leadership invests in our people,” said Jan Marrs, shareholder human resources and payroll services. “They have made noteworthy investments in compensation, comprehensive benefits, and engaging employee activities. Mize continues to focus on career growth with investments in mentoring programs, leadership training and continuing professional education (CPEs).”

USA Today co-sponsored this fourth-annual survey with Energage. Winners of the survey are identified solely based on employee feedback gathered by Energage surveys in 2023.
