TikTok sensation to close her Germantown bakery, but the giant cookies aren't going away

A Germantown bakery known for its giant cookies is closing its storefront location, although it will continue its online business.

In an Instagram post, BluffCakes said it plans to close its location at 7850 Poplar Ave., Suite 24, in Germantown. BluffCakes' last day will be Sunday, April 28.

Memphis baker Chole Joy Sexton opened the bakery in February 2023, after her giant cookies with goodies like Oreos, Nutella and peanut butter made her a TikTok sensation.

BluffCakes to focus on online business

In the Instagram post, BluffCakes said its online shipping operations and local sales will continue. The close of the retail space will not impact its online customers and the decision to go away from a storefront was made to further grow BluffCakes' thriving shipping business and deliver even more treats internationally, according to the post.

"We appreciate your support as we transition towards a path that is better for the future of BluffCakes, our team, and our family," the post said.
