Three Lee County students receive four year scholarship to Auburn University
OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) — The Opelika Chamber of Commerce hosted a graduation for the Lee County Young Leaders class of 2023-2024 on May 2. Three students were awarded scholarships to Auburn University.
Libby-Kate Posey of Smith Station High School, Mary Margaret Buck of Auburn High School and Lydia Hilyer of Opelika High School all received four year scholarships.
Attendees heard from Alabama State Representative and AU alumni Jeremy Gray, as well as former Young Leader graduate Patrick Seymour.
The graduation is the culmination the leadership program that runs from September through April.
