Three arrested after double homicide in Woods County

FREEDOM, Okla. (KFOR) – Three people have been arrested following a double homicide in Freedom, Oklahoma.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Woods County Sheriff’s Office requested the bureau’s help on Thursday, April 11, regarding a double homicide investigation.

Officials say around 4 a.m. Thursday morning, deputies responded to a home near Saddlehorn Drive and Dusty Trail regarding possible gunshots. Upon arrival, they found 70-year-old Gary Bradt who was deceased and 19-year-old Timothy Wilcox who was critically injured. Wilcox later died at the scene.

Based on the information gathered at the scene, three people were found and detained for questioning.

The OSBI says 23-year-old Christopher Padilla, 20-year-old Elijah Mann and a 17-year-old female were arrested on two counts of First-Degree Murder. All three have been booked into the Woodward County Jail.

Both Bradt and Wilcox were taken to the Office of the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner where a cause and manner of death will be determined.
