Thousands of roller ball candies recalled due to choking hazard

(WHTM) – Thousands of roller ball candies are being recalled following a child needing emergency surgery after choking last year.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 290,000 Happiness USA Liquid Rolling Candy products were sold at Kosher market stores nationwide.

The Commission says the candy’s rolling ball can dislodge into a child’s mouth, posing a choking hazard and risk of death.

The candy comes in blue raspberry, strawberry and green apple flavors, consisting of about one fluid ounce of liquid candy.

Thousands of recalled crossbows “can discharge unexpectedly”

Consumers should immediately stop using the candy, take it away from children, and contact Twenty Four Six Foods for a full refund by email or calling toll-free at 833-436-1200 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday.
