Thousands gathered to honor and celebrate the life of beloved Los Angeles pastor Rev. Dr. Cecil ‘Chip’ Murray on Friday, April 26. The daylong memorial, including a viewing and Celebration of Life wake, was held at First African Methodist Episcopal Church where Murray served as pastor for 27 years. The pastor, civil rights leader and community activist died on April 5 from natural causes. He was 94 years old.
